Czech retailer’s robots clean 20 million square metres

Albert, said to be one of the Czech Republic's largest retail brands, says its fleet of autonomous mobile robots have officially cleaned over 20 million square metres (215 million square feet), completing over 92,000 cleaning routes.

The industrial cleaning robots were implemented across Albert's Czech Republic hypermarkets and two distribution centres. During 2023, Albert says it will "almost double" the number of stores with robot deployments for the robots.

A more pertinent question would be: Why aren't there more robots? And more to the point, why aren't there more robots in my house right now?

It's not so much that the premise of the question is flawed — it's more a question of reframing it slightly. "Why aren't there more robots?" is a perfectly valid question for a nonroboticist to ask. As a longtime hardware person, I usually start my answer there.

Mysterious red ring flashes over Italy like alien spaceship - India Today

By India Today Science Desk : People in parts of central Italy were amazed at a mysterious ring of red light that covered the skies on March 27, which looked like a scene straight out of a science fiction film.

Binotto captured the image from the small town of Possagno in the foothills of the Italian Alps. While the ring appeared over Central Italy, astronomers said that the massive circle extended to at least 360 kilometers in diameter and covered the region until the Adriatic Sea.

James Webb Space Telescope shows Uranus' unique tilt and extreme seasons

The new pictures were taken utilizing the telescope's Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI) , which is equipped for catching the light at frequencies that are imperceptible to the unaided eye.

Walmart turns to warehouse robots
