An article published Wednesday by Chinese researchers in the journal Nature confirmed the discovery of LB-1, a black hole about 15,000 light years away with a mass 70 times greater than that of our sun, or more than three times as massive as researchers previously thought possible.

Glenda Jackson: Britain is facing a 'dementia black hole'

The Oscar-winning actress and former MP stars in Elizabeth Is Missing, an adaptation of the best-selling novel by Emma Healey. She plays Maud, an elderly woman whose memory is failing her.

The drama will be broadcast on BBC One next week and Jackson's performance is already being tipped for a best actress Bafta.

Jackson, 83, said society is facing a dementia crisis. There are currently around 850,000 people with dementia in the UK, according to the Alzheimer's Society, and the condition affects one in six people over the age of 80.

It's 'Black Hole Friday'! Take a Break from Shopping to Celebrate with NASA (Video) | Space

NASA is trying to rebrand the spend-happy day after Thanksgiving, inspiring us to appreciate the wonders of the universe by contemplating its most extreme objects: black holes .

As part of this effort, the agency released a new video today (Nov. 29) called " 5 Things: Black Holes " that lays out the basics of these light-gobbling behemoths.

"If you're not shopping, or on a break between stores, let yourself get sucked in to all this great material we have on black holes," NASA officials wrote in a statement on the agency's homepage today (Nov. 29). "See you on the other side of the event horizon."

Researchers discover stellar black hole too large for science to explain - UPI.com

Nov. 29 (UPI) -- A team of scientists based in China announced the discovery of a stellar black hole so large that science currently lacks an explanation for it.

The Chinese Academy of Sciences said researchers at the academy's National Astronomical Observatory of China discovered LB-1, a black hole about 15,000 light years from earth and with a mass roughly 70 times greater than our sun.

LB-1 is a stellar black hole, meaning it was formed by the explosion of a collapsing star, and scientists previously believed a black hole of this type could reach a size of no larger than 20 times the mass of our sun due to matter being lost to stellar winds during the star's collapse.

Newfoundlanders think Dieppe mail facility is a vortex for packages — but they're wrong

Dieppe, proud of being the fastest-growing city in New Brunswick, has also earned some not-so-flattering monikers: the vortex, Hotel California, the Bermuda Triangle of packages.

If a package is headed somewhere in Atlantic Canada, there's a good chance it will go through Canada Post in Dieppe before heading to its final destination. The exception is Labrador, where packages arrive after being processed in Quebec City.

For several years, people in Newfoundland have taken to social media to air their frustrations about Dieppe's mail-processing centre, saying it feels like island-bound packages get stuck there.
