Identity Moon by Holiday Mathis – Boston Herald

ARIES (March 21-April 19). It is impossible to control other people’s feelings. It’s not even that easy to manage your own, but you’re getting better at it. Placing yourself in healthy environments is half the battle.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Support systems aren’t always people. They can also be rules you make for yourself or habits you establish to make the right thing also the easiest, most logical and most convenient thing to do.

Quite a lot has been going on:

Moon a step toward Mars, NASA chief says

FAYETTEVILLE -- The mission to have NASA astronauts again set foot on the moon within five years will serve as preparation for a journey to Mars, the space agency's administrator said Friday.

"The moon is the proving ground. Mars is the destination," Jim Bridenstine told students at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

Bridenstine took on leadership of NASA in April of last year after serving from 2013-18 as a U.S. representative for Oklahoma, where he maintains a residence in Tulsa.

Moon-bound NASA astronauts get nifty sleeping bags for snoozing in space - CNET

The Orion Twitter account shared a look inside the spacecraft where four blue sleeping bags are arranged around the capsule. Four is the max number of crew members it's designed to hold.

I'll add some more context and design information on our sleep configuration as we've recently solidified the design of our Orion sleeping bags and other supporting hardware.

Orion has six windows and each one is equipped with a shade to block out light. These are essentially the spacecraft version of blackout curtains. The shades have built-in openings to fit camera lenses so astronauts can snap the world outside while minimizing glare from the sun.

MVA proposes 'Olympics on the Moon' event

Running 1600 metres on Earth against the best of the best is tough enough, but imagine doing that or any other sporting activity on the Moon! Perhaps one day you might get the chance as non profit organisation the Moon Village Association (MVA) intends to propose a symbolic event on the Moon during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, either in 2024 in Paris (France) or in 2026 in Milan-Cortina (Italy).

Created in 2017 and based in Vienna, the MVA comprises approximately 220 members from more than 39 countries and 25 Institutional members around the globe. Participation is largely informal.

To the Moon and Back - Security Boulevard

Earlier this week, nCipher Security executives and customers had the privilege of hearing from two NASA employees during nCipher's 2019 Americas HSM User Group Conference (HUG), which was held in the beautiful city of New Orleans.

Kicking off the guest speakers' session was NASA's Al Feinberg, Special Advisor to NASA Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN). Al launched into a discussion about why NASA (and the United States) are so invested in space exploration in general and the 2024 'Artemis' expedition in particular. 'Artemis' is NASA's program devoted to landing the first woman and next man on the Moon by 2024.

Does the moon influence people? | Science News for Students

If the moon can exert potent effects on wildlife, from birds to fish and African buffalo, what can it do to people? Right now, the data are mixed and not all that convincing.

* * *

We all know the full moon doesn't turn people into hairy, scary werewolves (at least not without some Hollywood magic). But if other animals respond to the moon, why not people?

In fact, much research has relied on data from studies that had not been looking for moon effects. What's needed, researchers argue , are experiments with clear hypotheses seeking to probe how the moon might sway our behavior or how the body functions. Until then, they note, it's hard to say if the moon's hold over people is fact or fiction.

How The November 2019 Full Moon Will Affect You, Based On Your Zodiac Sign

Heads up: The November 2019 full moon is coming up on Nov. 12 to light up the skies and dose us with a healthy spoonful of Taurus energy. We should all be grateful, as we've had a rough go on the astrology front lately. Firstly, it's Scorpio season: Need I say more? Secondly, Mercury is retrograde , which obviously needs no further explanation. And thirdly, that last new moon in Scorpio just before Halloween was a really intense one.

"The Beaver Moon occurs in fertile Taurus," explains astrologer Lisa Stardust , who spoke with Bustle about this luminary. Taurus is ruled by sexy planet Venus, and is an earth sign that's known for its love of sensuality, luxury, and comfort. As an earth sign, Taurus energy brings a lens of focus to material matters such as money, which is helpful when it comes to taking stock of your personal inventory or even clearing energetic blockages you feel around money.
