After backlash, Sonic the Hedgehog has a handsome, less toothy look - Los Angeles Times

The first line of the new "Sonic the Hedgehog" trailer? "I'm Sonic, a little ball of super-energy in an extremely handsome package ."

Emphasis on "extremely handsome package," because Paramount's folks have gone back and fixed Sonic's absolutely dreadful look from the first peek at the movie.

It's not a dramatic change in the trailer that dropped Tuesday, but it's a tweak that will allow audiences to sleep at night.

Here's a look at the old Sonic, whose debut teeth out-pearlied the choppers of costars James Marsden as Tom Wachowski and Jim Carrey as Dr. Ivo Robotnik:

Bob Lazar Says the FBI Raided Him to Seize Area 51's Alien Fuel. The Truth Is Weirder - VICE

Concealing his identity and using the pseudonym "Dennis," Lazar said that deep within an unconfirmed section of Area 51 called "S4," he'd once worked on recovered extraterrestrial spacecraft for the US government.

Months later, no longer concealing his identity, Lazar claimed the US government was now waging an all out covert war against him. He said it shot out one of his tires and erased all of his educational records from CalTech and MIT. Lazar eventually claimed that, while at Area 51, his job was to reverse-engineer an alien material called "element 115" that he claimed was used to power an alien spacecraft.

Hello from Earth: The story of Australia's first interstellar message - Science News - ABC

This message from Sophie of Longmont, Colorado, in the United States, is just one of almost 26,000 sent from Australia to an Earth-like planet 20 light-years away.

It's been a decade since NASA transmitted these goodwill messages, and this week the transmission passed the halfway mark on its long, lonely journey through the silent cosmos.

The project, called Hello from Earth, began as a science communication campaign to get people excited about Australia's National Science Week.
