Despite some minimal documentaries here and there, Stanley has not made a feature length film in more than 20 years. However, the idiosyncratic filmmaker returns after his extended break. His latest film "Color Out of Space," an adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's classic short story of the same name, is a cosmic fever dream that excels in bringing out the best of its source material.
When a mysterious meteorite crashes down on a family's farm, the family find themselves seemingly infected by an extraterrestrial organism that mutates everything in its path, transforming their home into a nightmarish landscape. We witness the family's mental state as their literal surroundings deteriorate over time and they begin to fear everything and each other.
Quite a lot has been going on:

'The Walking Dead' Creator Reveals The Origin Of The Zombie Apocalypse
Robert Kirkman, the creator of the comics upon which the popular AMC zombie drama is based, ended his comic book series recently without ever revealing the origin of the zombifying infection.
* * *
When asked on Twitter what the cause of the apocalypse was, he replied: "Space spore." In other words, this whole time the zombie apocalypse was actually an alien invasion.
That could be the joke Robert Kirkman is making here, or he really could be serious that the infection was extraterrestrial. I mean, it makes sense doesn't it? Only something truly foreign to our planet could wreak such havoc given that even the most deadly plagues ultimately tapped out before decimating the entire human population of Earth. It would also explain why nobody can figure out a cure.
Many things are taking place:
Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker: I believe in aliens | Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard
The actress, who plays extraterrestrial being the Doctor in the hit sci-fi series, said that “it can’t just be us” in the universe.
Whittaker told The Guardian: “I’m agnostic. I’m spiritual and believe in the energy of beings. And I believe in aliens, 100%.
“I mean, it can’t just be us. I don’t know if we’ve had contact, but we are aliens to someone.”
The actress, who has risen to international fame since becoming the first woman to have the starring role in Doctor Who, has also said that she can travel on public transport without being spotted.
Star Trek transforms U of T building into futuristic space school
So perhaps it's fitting that the makers of Star Trek: Short Treks , a web TV series, shot a recent episode inside One Spadina Crescent, home to U of T's John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design.
In the episode, which can be streamed on Crave TV, the historic, neo-gothic building – which re-opened to critical acclaim in 2017 – is transformed into an extraterrestrial school, where students arrive in a flying shuttle bus and work on 3D screens.
