LAURELS & DARTS- Opinion from the Editors: Friday, December 10 - The Brooklyn Home Reporter
DART to RUBIN DUKLER , a property owner who made Public Advocate Jumaane Williams' annual list of "worst landlords," for 2019, and IRIS HOLDINGS GROUP , the management company for Dukler's building at 1074 Eastern Parkway, where tenants are suing for $2 million in illegal rent overcharges collected since 2002.
DART to GOV. CUOMO , for threatening to cut off state support for New York City Medicaid recipients. Despite the state absorbing the year-over-year increases to the cost of the program, local governments in New York pay more into Medicaid than counties in other states. New York City paid $5.3 billion into the program in 2018. The governor said he would restructure Medicaid this year to increase "local accountability."
These are the 8 coolest gadgets, cars, and concepts we saw at the biggest tech event of the year,
Each year, thousands of companies from all over the world gather in Las Vegas for CES, a tech industry trade show that’s been around since 1967.
This year’s show was full of dazzling TVs, futuristic car prototypes, home robots, and a whole lot more. After scouting the CES show floor over the past four days, here’s a look at the best gadgets, technologies, and concepts I came across.

One of the biggest surprises of CES was the debut of Sony’s Vision-S , a futuristic prototype car that the company says it will be testing on roads later in 2020.
CES 2020 Verge Awards: the best tech from the Consumer Electronics Show - The Verge
Oh, what a difference 12 months makes. At last year's CES , we found fewer concepts and more tangible products than ever before. Apparently this year, the exhibitors saw our reaction and felt they had to work overtime to correct it because if there was a theme to 2020's CES, it was that CES is the land of the concept.
This year, the things that stole attention at the show were not early looks at products that you and I will be able to actually use and buy over the next 12 months. Sure, there's the occasional laptop and meat substitute that will be available for purchase in 2020. But for every one of those, there's a rolling ball robot, virtual personal attendant, or entire vehicle that is never likely to ship.
Quite a lot has been going on:

‘Real UFO’ video shows several bright lights hovering off N.C.
A video claiming to depict a “real UFO sighting” off the coast of North Carolina has sparked intense debate about the origin of the several lights shown floating together over the water in the clip.
YouTube user William Guy posted the original video on Sept. 28, and it’s accumulated more than 420,000 views since it first appeared online. The 30-second clip was shot from a ferry at sunset off the Outer Banks in N.C., according to the Charlotte Observer .
