Quite a lot has been going on:
A fan-generated Washington Football Team name that's out of this world: The UFOs | NBC Sports
Though they will be known as the Washington Football team for the upcoming season, the discussion around what the local NFL franchise will eventually change its name to rages on.
Some want it to relate to the history of the franchise without the explicit Native American imagery. The Washington Warriors or Redspears are examples there. Others are hoping for a connection specific to Washington D.C. itself. The Potomacs would work well in that realm. A vocal faction - on social media anyway - is in support of the Washington Red Wolves , a unique brand that features limitless logo and uniform ideas.

On April 27, the U.S. Department of Defense officially released three videos of UFOs recorded by U.S. Navy pilots along with a statement. This quickly became some of the biggest news of 2020, besides the pandemic.
The UFO footage accumulated a great amount of excitement in people all over the internet. Some went as far as to make claims on Twitter such as "a few days ago the US Navy literally confirmed aliens exist." #Aliensexist was trending on twitter and an uncountable amount of articles were written about the matter.
Blog: What is on tap for UFO news this coming Friday? (7/27/20) | Shelbyville Times-Gazette
I don't often refer to the NYT but there seems to be something brewing in the world of UFOs and The Times has the main write-up on it. It is getting comments from reputable government figures so who knows. May SUI?
I find it interesting that the vast majority of UFO representations have a round form. Are we missing something in aeronautic design or are we missing a propulsion system that lends itself to this form?

What were those strange lights in the night sky over Alamogordo?
Those outside enjoying the night sky on Thursday may have seen a string of lights moving across the sky mostly in a line.
That line of moving lights lasted for at least half an hour and scattered out of the line toward the end of their visibility.
Alamogordo residents who saw the strange lights may have wondered whether to expect a visit from little green men in flying saucers.

Support Astronomer Candace Gray said the observatory is currently not open due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic and as such, night staff were not on site to notice the event.
