International Day of Cooperatives 2020: History, Significance of The Day And Theme For This Year
Countries all over the world have a good number of cooperatives, which are private business organisations that are wholly owned and controlled by the people who use their products, supplies or services. They vary in type and membership size but all are formed to meet the common economic, social, and cultural needs of the members. On International Day of Cooperatives 2020, which this year falls on July 4, we take a look at the history, significance of the day and theme for this year.
Cooperatives have values and principles that they follow, and the former is based on self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, and solidarity. Keeping in line with the traditions of the founders, cooperative members believe in the ethical values of openness, honesty, social responsibility and caring for others. The latter are guidelines by which cooperatives put their values into practice.

— Former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and Andrew Romanoff, his opponent in the Democratic Senate primary in Colorado, traded ads in the runup to the June 30 election.
'Ibrahimovic is a UFO' - Swedish striker is 'a great player' and
Ibrahimovic completed a €21 million (£19m/$24m) move to PSG from Milan eight years ago, and went on to enjoy the best goalscoring spell of his entire career in the French capital.
Bodmer, who witnessed Ibrahimovic's mercurial talents up close in his final year at PSG, says he "loved" working with the striker - who returned to Milan in January - and credits him for helping the club make great strides forward on the biggest stage.
The former PSG midfielder told Goal : "Ibrahimovic? He's a UFO. I loved his character, I loved the player. He's a great player, a great guy, who has brought a lot for PSG. You can say that he is arrogant, but he has made a lot of things move in the right direction."
