Russian astronaut on the ISS claims to see UFOs in new footage | 1460 CJOY

Ivan Vagner, a Russian cosmonaut currently orbiting the Earth aboard the International Space Station (ISS), claims to have captured footage of potential UFOs while recording video of the southern lights.

“Space guests, or how I filmed the new time-lapse,” Vagner wrote in a tweet featuring the video on Wednesday morning.

The one-minute video shows the aurora australis passing near Antarctica and Australia, Vagner says.

Pentagon's UFO Program May Make Some Findings Public | PCMag

According to the lawmaker, there are unidentified objects flying over US military bases that the government cannot explain. "We don't know what it is, and it isn't ours," he told CBS Miami earlier this month.

"I would say that, frankly, if it's something from outside this planet, that might actually be better than the fact that we've seen some technological leaps on behalf of the Chinese or Russians or some other adversary that allows them to conduct this sort of activity," Rubio said in an interview with CBS.

'No, an alien has NOT landed on NI beach' - UFO link ruled out | Carrickfergus Times

Dozens of the creatures, about the size of a grapefruit, appeared on the beach at Whitepark Bay last week. But holiday makers, dog walkers and locals were all baffled by what it was.

The News Letter newsroom was also stumped, with one seasoned but shocked newshound describing it as "creepy".

Now working for the Wildlife Trust in England, he says they have also been getting photographs of the same creature to identify from other beachcombers around the UK.

Pentagon releases UFO videos for the record - BBC News

The US Department of Defense has released three declassified videos of "unexplained aerial phenomena".

The Pentagon said it wanted to "clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real".

* * *

After they were first leaked, some people claimed the videos showed alien unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

According to the New York Times, a clip from 2004 was filmed by two navy fighter pilots and shows a round object hovering above the water, about 100 miles (160 km) out into the Pacific Ocean.

Pentagon UFO report: The case for taking these videos seriously - Vox

Earlier this year, the Pentagon released three videos of UFOs recorded by the Navy — one taken in 2004 and the other two in 2015. The videos, which first leaked a couple of years ago, show … well, it's not exactly clear.

There are various objects — two of which look like aircraft — spinning through the sky and moving in ways that defy easy explanation. As the images bop across the screen, you can hear the pilots' excitement and confusion in real time as they track whatever it is they're seeing.
