Random Island UFO sighting immortalized on coin (plus it glows) | CBC News

Random Island UFO sighting immortalized on coin (plus it glows) | CBC News

A strange object seen in the skies near Clarenville in 1978 might not be any closer to being explained, but its eeriness is now immortalized in a glowing coin from the Royal Canadian Mint.

Just five days before Halloween in that year, people spotted a brightly lit object in the sky near Random Island. They called police, and the Clarenville RCMP constable who responded remained at a loss along with the onlookers, as the oval shape hovered for about an hour before vanishing.

Mexico's UFO | Dentons - JDSupra

For the majority of people, the emotion engendered by a UFO landing on Earth is fear. For others, it is a confirmation of a hope – that there are alternative realities to the beliefs the majority currently hold. Confirming the reality of a UFO landing on Earth opens up vast possibilities that people had heretofore thought impossible.

Currently, Mexico has a UFO. It is not an Unidentified Flying Object. It is an Unequivocal Failing Organization. The name of the UFO is Pemex or Petróleos Mexicanos. Pemex is the largest taxpayer in Mexico, its largest company, and one of the largest companies in Latin America. It is a vital strategic national asset. It currently employs an estimated 124,000 people and supports 107,000 pensioners.

HAUNTED WIRRAL: Stalked by UFOs | Wirral Globe

WELCOME to Haunted Wirral, a feature series written by world famous psychic researcher, Tom Slemen for the Globe.

* * *

Amongst the tragedy and chaos of this seemingly cursed leap year, the Pentagon announced that UFOs really do exist, and in April they declassified three main videos showing strange tictac-shaped craft (filmed with infrared cameras) being observed and pursued by a special task force set up to investigate UFOs.

It was always thought that Western Civilization would collapse and people would panic once the Government admitted that we were being visited by beings from other worlds, but it was as if the populace just flipped to Netflix with the remote or turned the page to the horoscope section as they took the acknowledgement of UFOs being real with a pinch of salt, or perhaps such an otherwise shocking revelation was simply too tame compared to the other earth-shattering events going on.

The Navy Says UFOs Are Real. Are They Little Green People? Unlikely. : 1A : NPR

In late April, the Department of Defense released footage of Navy fighter pilots encountering something "unidentifiable." The black and white videos are grainy and show small objects flying across the in-flight cameras of Navy fighter pilots.

This footage had already been circulating on the internet. By releasing it, the Department of Defense confirmed the videos' authenticity —and that it didn't know what they showed.

Navy videos spark renewed interest in UFOs from enthusiasts and Congress - ABC News

This year's World UFO Day comes at a time of heightened interest in the decades-long search to solve the mystery of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) thanks to the Navy's recent declassification of videos that show what it called "unexplained aerial phenomena," but it's not just UFO enthusiasts who are excited.

The Navy declassified three previously leaked top-secret U.S. Navy videos in late April in an effort "to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that had been circulating was real or whether or not there is more to the videos," said Susan Gough, a Pentagon spokesperson.
