You could own the NYC rooftop where John Lennon claimed to spot a UFO - MarketWatch

Prior to settling down in the Dakota for good, he had a brief stopover at a posh penthouse in Manhattan. Now, a penthouse in the building where Lennon held a rental unit has come on the market for $5.5 million.

"He loved it when people treated him like a normal person rather than a Beatle, and that could happen here."

"What I will say is both apartments gave me the river view that I had back then," Pang posted on her blog this month.

It was a great, scary day in Laguna Woods Village – Orange County Register

Wilma Flintstone, Batman and Robin, and even a UFO converged in Laguna Woods Village on Saturday, Oct. 31. And there were witches, ghosts, goblins …. and a cigar-smoking, booze-swilling nun.

Village residents met up in the parking lot of Clubhouse 1, where they showed off their costumes and decorated golf carts for the Halloween Golf Cart "Scarade" Parade.

The parade drew 45 golf carts and about 100 participants, said Brian Gruner, Village recreation and special events director.

Navy says release of files into UFO sightings would 'damage' security - Business Insider

The term UFO, along with others like "unidentified aerial phenomena" and "unidentified flying object," does not necessarily mean the object is thought to be extraterrestrial. Many such sightings ultimately end up having logical and earthly explanations — often involving military technology.

The Department of Defense videos show pilots confused by what they are seeing. In one video, a pilot said: "What the f--- is that thing?"

An unidentified flying object parachuted into the dense Congo jungle to the confusion of local authorities, who detained two people for questioning until a subsidiary of Google parent company Alphabet confirmed the device was an internet balloon.

British 'X-Files' of UFO sightings is going public | Space

Previously, some MoD files about UFOs had been published online at the U.K. National Archives website, The Telegraph reported . However, all of the agency's UFO reports will be released this year on "a dedicated gov.uk web page," a spokesperson for the British Royal Air Force (RAF) told The Telegraph.

The decision came after PA Media, a British news agency, filed a request for the UFO files under the Freedom of Information Act, according to The Telegraph. MoD officials decided "it would be better to publish these records, rather than continue sending documents to the National Archives," the RAF spokesperson said.

Navy confirms videos did capture UFO sightings, but it calls them by another name

Three videos posted online that have been described as being related to UFO sightings do indeed include footage of "unidentified aerial phenomena," a U.S. Navy spokesman confirmed.

But as for specifics, spokesman Joseph Gradisher said the Navy doesn't know exactly what the objects are.

The website The Black Vault last week first reported the Navy's "unidentified aerial phenomena" designation and said the three videos are commonly known as "FLIR1," "Gimbal" and "GoFast."
