Less than two weeks after authorities stumbled across a mysterious metal object standing freely in the Utah desert — and just days after it disappeared — a similar monolith has been reported nearly halfway around the world. Residents in the Romanian city of Piatra Neamt say they have found another odd item that could have been ripped from the set of 2001: A Space Odyssey .
The local newspaper reports that the monolith, like the one discovered in Utah, is about 10 to 12 feet tall and apparently composed entirely of a dimly reflective metal. It was reportedly found standing on the Bâtca Doamnei plateau, near an archaeological site overlooking the city. Jurnal FM, a local radio station, recorded video of the purported object, revealing an eye-aching sheen and looped markings along its surface.

DOZENS of reports of UFO sightings in the county have been revealed after previously confidential government files were published.
The files show 21 reports of unidentified flying objects made from people across Worcestershire between 1997 and 2009.
Several reports were made in Worcester involving teddy bear-shaped objects, moon-sized balloons and red and yellow stars.

Originally thought to be an asteroid, NASA scientists have since suggested that it’s a piece of space junk left over from early U.S. space exploration.
“The object is likely not an asteroid,” NASA officials wrote in a November 12th research update. “It’s probably the Centaur upper stage rocket booster that helped lift NASA’s ill-fated Surveyor 2 spacecraft toward the Moon in 1966.”
NASA officials say the 2020 SO’s orbit did not look like a typical asteroid and much more closely resembled something originating from Earth. Computer modeling helped their team trace the likely origin to the 1966 launch.
