On Tuesday, the ex-head of Israel's space program dropped a bombshell claim: President Donald Trump struck a deal with an extraterrestrial race to keep quiet about them on Twitter so they can carry out their experiments among us.
Professor Haim Eshed, 87, told Israeli newspaper Yedioth Aharonoth , "The [aliens] have asked not to publish that they are here, humanity is not yet ready."

Texas has a long history of UFO sightings. As writer Pamela Colloff pointed out in her 1969 Texas Monthly story, Close Encounters of the Lone Star Kind , Texans have been reporting UFO sightings since 1878 and reported the first one touching down here in 1897, more than fifty years before Roswell's infamous crash landing. The cigar-shaped craft was spotted in the Midwest and then made its way to Denton, Weatherford, Corsicana, and Stephenville.

Mystery monoliths: A look into similar phenomena in the past explains why they are not a big deal
These constructions are metallic-looking structures about three or four metres tall, with a simple geometric design and reflective surface.
They will look familiar to fans of Arthur C Clarke's Space Odyssey novels, sharing an uncanny resemblance to a monolithic structure pivotal to the story.

The maker (or makers) of the curious objects are likely still around, but they are not talking. In the meantime, the structures call to mind some major oddities and artefacts from the past, all of which gained considerable fame.

It's time to talk about the mysterious object that appeared in the Utah wilderness. Because, well, it's 2020, and of course, there's a mysterious object in the Utah wilderness.

None of the earthlings in charge of managing the state land had any clue what it was, who put it there or how to contact Starfleet Academy to check on its proper care and feeding. So, the Bureau of Land Management essentially channeled all moms of toddlers and said, “Don't touch that.”
Pentagon creates UFO task force to see if aerial objects pose threat
Pentagon officials on Friday confirmed the existence of a Navy-led "Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force" that will monitor ongoing encounters with strange aerial objects and determine whether these phenomena should be perceived as a threat.
Approved on Aug. 4 by Deputy Secretary of Defense David L. Norquist, the task force was officially launched "to improve its understanding of, and gain insight into, the nature and origins of UAPs," according to a Friday evening news release. "The mission of the task force is to detect, analyze and catalog UAPs that could potentially pose a threat to U.S. national security."

The History series predictably sensationalizes and overdramatizes case investigations and the historical figures involved, adding many story elements that simply never happened. It's already hard enough for those trying to understand the truth about government involvement with U.F.O.s without mixing fact and fiction.
In 1947, A High-Altitude Balloon Crash Landed in Roswell.
Let’s start closer to the beginning. On June 14, 1947, a rancher named W.W. “Mac” Brazel and his son Vernon were driving across their ranchland some 80 miles northwest of Roswell when they encountered something they’d never seen before. It was, in Brazel’s words , “a large area of bright wreckage made up of rubber strips, tinfoil, and rather tough paper, and sticks. ”

Seeking answers, he contacted Colonel “Butch” Blanchard, commander of the Roswell Army Airfield’s 509th Composite Group , located just outside of town. Blanchard was stymied. Working his way up the chain of command, he decided to contact his superior, General Roger W. Ramey, commander of the 8th Air Force in Fort Worth, Texas.
