The town of Roswell is gearing up to be one of the first in the area to bring back destination festivals since the pandemic with its UFO Festival July 2-4.
It will be the 25th anniversary of the festival for the town that dubs itself the "UFO Capital of the World."
Typically, the celebration includes a parade, people dressing up for the theme and visits to the UFO Museum and Robert H. Goddard Planetarium.

Legend has it that supernatural activities occur on a piece of land surrounded by the Ute Indian Reservation in the Uintah Basin of Utah. Brandon Fugal bought the land five years ago and brought in a team of scientists to see if the legends were true.

STATEWIDE – Believe what you want. But the National UFO Reporting Center has been busy dealing with heaps of calls from New Jersey, which has submitted 1,954 reports (and counting) since 1950 of UFO sightings. NJ.com offers a running list. Sure there are plenty of kooks, crackpots, lunatics, conspiracy nuts and the like. But, gotta ask, what about the lucid ones? A quick sampling: Jan. 20 at 1 a.m.
DUMONT – Those with children carry fuzzy memories of when they were deliriously dealing with infants, and “vacation” meant a trip to Costco to pile up on yet more diapers.
