SK Group chairman Chey Tae-won asked Moon to consider a petition for Lee's release that was submitted in April jointly by five business lobbies including the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry headed by Chey, according to Moon's spokeswoman Park Kyung-mee.

Moon replied that he "understood" difficulties for the companies, Park said. He did not elaborate, but appeared more open to the idea after simply saying at a news conference in March that he would consider public opinion before deciding.

Active seafloor volcanoes on Jupiter's moon Europa?

Jupiter’s icy, ocean-covered moon Europa might have active seafloor volcanoes pulsing just out of sight. A May 25, 2021, statement from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, said that new research and computer modeling suggest the volcanoes. If they exist, NASA’s planned mission to this moon of Jupiter – the Europa Clipper mission – might be able to detect them.

Scientists published their research on this subject on December 22, 2020, in the peer-reviewed journal Geophysical Research Letters .

Washington suppliers may get left behind on moon lander program | The Seattle Times

In April, NASA took one step closer to the moon, announcing the $2.9 billion Human Landing System contract that delivers American space boots back to the lunar surface in 2024. But the decision leaves some Washington space suppliers’ feet firmly on the ground.

Kent-based Blue Origin, owned by Jeff Bezos, has been working directly with more than 20 companies in Washington state in support of its Human Landing System during the program's “Base Period.” Selection as an HLS provider represented approximately $100 million in near-term contract work with Washington companies, according to the company.

Is It Time for Us to Send Astronauts Back to the Moon?

The series For All Mankind (2019) is a fictional alternate history that imagines a world where the Soviet Union was the first power to send an astronaut to the moon. From that starting point, the two rival superpowers compete to establish their own lunar station.

Just a few short years later, the scenario is no fantasy. Fifty years after the  Apollo 11 mission in 2019 the United States announced its intention to return to the Moon in 2024. In light of the concept of  “New Space” , this new ambition highlights a growing geostrategic competition, particularly given China’s precipitous rise.

Moon Gardens are the Dreamy Landscaping Options You May Have Never Heard of

We’re busy people and many of us get home too late to enjoy our gardens. But it needn’t be that way: A moon garden, featuring white night-blooming, sweet-scented plants is the answer, and landscape architects swear you’ll love it even more than your daytime garden.

“A well-designed moon garden feels good and is endlessly fascinating,” explains Jack Carman, landscape director for Spiezle Architecture, Trenton, NJ, and a specialist in therapy gardens. “It engages the senses in ways that daytime gardens cannot. For one thing, it’s quieter and cooler in the evening—just the rustling of leaves in the breeze—so it’s instantly calming.

New Moon: How to let the Moon guide you and harness lunar power | Metro News

As the Moon moves through its phases, in a cyclical and rhythmic way, we too are drawn into this lunar drum beat.

And if you know how, you can use the Moon's phases – from the New Moon to the Full Moon and everything in between – in your favour.

The Moon reflects the light it receives from the Sun and as it circles the Earth, different parts of its face are struck and lit up by those beams (the process of waxing and waning). It takes 29.5 days for the Moon to orbit Earth.
