Dozens of starless 'rogue' alien planets possibly spotted | Space

Astronomers have spotted more strange "free-floating" planets that could roam deep space untethered to any star.

While we might think that planets must need to orbit some kind of star, astronomers have detected such orphaned "rogues" before . And a new study uses data collected by NASA's planet-hunting Kepler space telescope to identify other possible exoplanets roaming freely on their own.

Four 'toddler' exoplanets discovered orbiting stars 130 light years from Earth - ABC

Astronomers say the discovery of four "energetic toddler" planets, far beyond our solar system, could provide new insights into how Earth evolved.

One exoplanet, about twice the size of Earth, orbits the star TOI 1807 in just 13 hours, creating a "lava world" with a constantly evaporating atmosphere.

Pokemon Go New Graphics Show Planets in the Sky

Several players report that ever since that update, the game is going through data way faster than before, which could be a problem for players that do not have unlimited data plans. Besides this, it drops the battery percentage too.

There could be rogue Earths wandering in space without a star system

When planets go rogue , they usually end up wandering through the cosmos on their own because the gravitational forces of larger planets kicked them out of their star system. There are probably more of them out there than we think.

Because of unexpected signals that emerged from data beamed back by the now-defunct Kepler space telescope (RIP), there is now new evidenc e for a population of "rogue" planets that are unattached to any star system. Rogue planet signals are elusive.

Which planet is habitable?

Researchers believe this will help maintain the Earth’s oxygen levels. The study was presented at the 2021 Goldsmith Geochemistry Conference. Studies so far have found more than 4,700 exoplanets in 3,500 planetary systems. Of these, more than 800 have more than one planet.
