UFO Report: How to Decipher the Pentagon Release

In the early 1960s, Cuban radar operators witnessed a strange phenomenon: Peering at their screens, they could see targets screaming toward their airspace at tremendous velocity. But when fighter planes were launched to intercept them, the targets simply vanished.

But what the Cubans were seeing was not alien technology. It was the result of human, and specifically American, technology — something called electromagnetic warfare , or EW.

Fortunately for UFO believers, official report leaves plenty to the imagination

When I asked him to describe the recently released official government report acknowledging its bewilderment about more than 140 sightings of unidentified flying objects, he remained a man of few words.

Lauren Bacall was slim. The chance of the Pirates winning the World Series is slim. What I know about the universe is slim. At nine pages, the official government report is a glorified haiku.

A new investment risk: Unidentified flying objects - CBS News

Procure co-founder Andrew Chanin acknowledged in a statement that tales of unidentified flying objects were "once a figment of science fiction.

Still, Chanin said that the possible impact of UAPs shouldn't be discounted, regardless of their origins.

"Whether originating from foreign adversaries or extraterrestrial activity, UAPs have potentially wide-reaching implications that we need to start taking seriously," he said. "We are truly just scratching the surface of what we know."

LOWELL, Mich. (WOOD) — When stargazers gather at the James C. Veen Observatory in Lowell, they’re watching the skies for things that can be explained by science.

“People seem to show up here, they want to know the science. They want to see with their own eyes if they’re here, or understand the science if they're at the planetarium,” said Jim Foerch, treasurer of the Grand Rapids Amateur Astronomical Association.
