ALPENA — On June 21, the U.S. intelligence community issued a preliminary report on unidentified flying objects, or UFOs.

On June 25, 2021, the U.S. government released a nine-page preliminary report on UFOs, or, as it is now calling them, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, or UAPs. The report is the latest notable event in what has been a renaissance for UFOs in recent years.

TV may be at fault with the problem we have today with QAnon and other conspiracy theories. Once upon a time, History and the Travel Channel were my favorites.
It’s OK to watch these programs for their entertainment value, but the problem is that people with “low science aptitude,” to say it mildly, believe this nonsense and thus may begin the slippery slope down the rabbit hole to lizard people, a flat earth and Jewish space lasers.

Burrhead was a Gainesville scientist who left his hometown to work for NASA. He was involved in some of the administration's early space exploits. He left the government organization to join a fledgling private space company, similar to SpaceX and Virgin Galactic.
Burrhead was a big believer in unidentified flying objects. He was convinced they were piloted by aliens from other planets. He constantly tried to convert his skeptical friends into UFO believers.
