Van Meter Visitor Festival to be held Sept. 25

The festival will celebrate Iowa's folklore history with guided monster walking tours, paranormal presentations, monster-themed games, drinks and food.

The schedule is as follows: the Steve Ward presentation "The Shaver Mystery will be held at 12:30 p.m.; the Kevin Nelson presentation "Wendigo Lore: Monsters, Myths and Madness" will be held at 1:30 p.m.; Jay Bachochin's "Searching for the Wisconsin Sasquatch" will be held at 2:30 p.m.

Tim Donnelly Dead: ‘Emergency!

“It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our friend, Tim Donnelly, this weekend. To all the Emergency! fans, we want you to know that he was very excited about coming to the Museum in January for the 50th Anniversary,” a spokesperson wrote.

Donnelly was born on September 3, 1944, finding his first role in Don Siegel’s 1957 crime drama, Baby Face Nelson , and going on to enjoy a 27-year screen career. He appeared in all six seasons of action comedy Emergency!

Tim Donnelly Dead: ‘Emergency!’ Actor Was 77 – The Hollywood Reporter

Eye-catching kites at Revere Beach on last day of summer
