Boris Johnson appoints supply chain tsar in bid to save Christmas

B oris Johnson has appointed a former Tesco boss to help advise the Government on supply chains, as warnings mount over the ongoing food and fuel shortage.

Sir David Lewis, who was chief executive of the supermarket giant during one of its most turbulent periods, will join the Cabinet Office from Monday, Oct 11, until the end of the year.
