Restaurants looking for labor and speed turn to robots

At Inspire Brands' Innovation Center in Atlanta, the Flippy robot is taking on a new challenge. The automated worker, made by Miso Robotics, first came onto the scene as a burger solution. Now, it's frying wings for the first time.

The bots, known as Flippy 1 and 2, have been in development for nearly five years, taking on pilots at brands such as CaliBurger and White Castle. The wings iteration is being tested at Inspire's Buffalo Wild Wings brand as a way to ramp up production and speed.

More talk about attaching sniper rifles to robots – TechCrunch

The whole gun on a robot thing was a question we've been barreling toward since the first practical quadrupedal robots arrived.

This is a question Boston Dynamics has worked hard to distance itself from. Understandably so — creating war machines is generally considered bad PR.

I've since spoken to the company's CEO Jiren Parikh about the system he refers to as "a walking tripod," a nod to the fact that Ghost doesn't design the payload — in this case, the SWORD Defense Systems Special Purpose Unmanned Rifle (SPUR).

Top Mobile Robots Predictions and Trends in 2022

Mobile robots are a special mix of mechanical and electrical frameworks, along with creative programming and software capacities. The essential plans of a mobile robot framework are at this point not super complicated.

Since its inception about a decade ago, the mobile robot's market was worth only US$1bn in 2017 yet is estimated to hit US$7bn in 2022 driven by expanding fabricating automation. This incorporates both through and through deals and renting incomes.

Inside Amazon's largest warehouse - where you'll find 10 robots for every human | Chattanooga

STANTON, Delaware — Amazon's biggest, newest warehouse, with more robots than ever, brings America closer to an automated future when machines do all the work of moving everything from groceries to laptops, from makers to users. And do it faster.

While Amazon has been building increasingly automated warehouses since opening its first satellite center in 1997, five miles down the road in New Castle, Delaware, this $250 million showcase is something entirely different.
