New Perseverance rover photos from Mars show tantalizing layered rocks | Space

Perseverance recently snapped some nice photos of layered rocks on the floor of Mars' Jezero Crater, and mission team members shared two of them Thursday (Nov. 4) via the rover's official Twitter account.

"Get a load of these layers! I’m getting out my abrading tool to take a look inside. Layered rocks like this often form in water, and can hold clues about what their environment used to be like.

Organic molecules revealed on Mars by Curiosity's new kind of experiment

Curiosity carries an instrument called the Sample Analysis at Mars, an array of cups that hold samples of soil as they are being analyzed. The array has 74 cups—all but nine of them are empty most of the time. The other nine hold chemicals that are used to conduct other kinds of experiments.

Mars Hockey Goalie Returns To The Ice Following Vulgar And Sexist Chants – CBS Pittsburgh

By: Erika Stanish PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A female goalie made her way back onto the ice for the first time on Saturday after Armstrong students were heard chanting vulgar and sexist phrases toward her during a game last week.

The chants happened during a game between the Mars Fighting Planets and the Armstrong River Hawks.

Mars Hill restaurant owner wins national recognition for elderberry syrup

Michael Stiggle, owner of Timberwolves BBQ in Mars Hill, came up with his elderberry syrup during the pandemic, saying elderberry has immune-boosting properties.

"Winning the award for good foods is a blessing but also it allows people to see the value we bring to Aroostook county it's like bringing the award home," said Stiggle.
