(CNN) The US State Department is offering up to $10 million for information leading to the identification or location of senior members of a Russian-speaking ransomware gang that forced major US fuel operator Colonial Pipeline to shut down in May.

It’s believed that Russian gang Conti is responsible for the incident and is demanding tens of millions of dollars “ tens of millions of dollars to decrypt the Graff systems and prevent further sensitive information from being released,” Security Boulevard reports .
