A ransomware gang has reportedly posted details of a Swedish/Canadian airborne early warning and control aircraft on the dark web. The aircraft, known as Globaleye, was compromised after hackers breached Canadian jet manufacturer Bombardier’s cybersecurity. Globaleye is roughly comparable to the U.S. Air Force’s E-3 Sentry airborne warning and control aircraft.
The Globaleye aircraft combines the Bombardier 6000 long range global business jet with Saab’s Erieye airborne radar sensor. Erieye is mounted to the top of the aircraft fuselage in what Saab describes as a “ski-box.” Globaleye is similar to the E-3 Sentry and the U.S. Navy’s E-2D Advanced Hawkeye airborne early warning aircraft.

Oxford University confirmed on Thursday it had detected and isolated an incident at the Division of Structural Biology (known as "Strubi") after Forbes disclosed that hackers were showing off access to a number of systems. These included machines used to prepare biochemical samples, though the university said it couldn't comment further on the scale of the breach.
