Mitsubishi partners with Cartken for delivery robots - The Robot Report

Mitsubishi Electric is partnering with Cartken , a company developing autonomous delivery robots, to start a pilot program in Tokyo.

The companies plan to launch the project at Aeon Mall Tokoname beginning this month. Customers will be able to order from the Starbucks Coffee app and have their order delivered to designated delivery points inside or outside of the mall.

Robots: Chinese military develops enormous robotic YAK that can cover harsh terrain | Daily Mail

An enormous robotic yak, strong enough to carry up to 352 pounds, and able to sprint along at up to 6 miles per hour, has been developed by Chinese scientists.

The robot can deal with all sorts of road and weather conditions, according to the Chinese state run People's Daily, which shared a video of the yak on a road.

Russia's research with the Marker robot, explained | Popular Science

Five Things: AGVs and Autonomous Mobile Robots | 2022-01-18 | ASSEMBLY

Automotive supplier Continental AG has developed its own line of autonomous automated guided vehicles (AGVs) for transporting parts in its assembly plants and warehouses. The autonomous AGVs can transport loads weighing more than a ton.

Continental's autonomous AGVs are already being used at the company's assembly plants in Zvolen, Slovakia, and Frankfurt am Main, Germany, transporting parts and materials for brake production. The AGVs automatically steer themselves to the programmed destinations and flexibly avoid obstacles.
