A prolific early contender in the autonomous delivery race has forged a partnership with an authentication company. The reason? There's a big market for the delivery of age-restricted items.

Food delivery robots on UW-Madison campus busier than ever

MADISON, Wis. — For more than two years now, 35 autonomous robots have been rolling around the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus delivering food to more than 65,000 students, faculty members and staff.

They're busy little bots delivering hundreds and hundreds of food orders every day, and that number has skyrocketed since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

Walmart's Sam's Club Has "Hired" a Bunch of Robots - TheStreet

Now, a new partnership is once again striving to bring them to the Bentonville, Ark., retailing giant, this time to the floors of its warehouse shopping membership division, Sam's Club.

As part of a partnership with Brain Corp., the San Diego artificial-intelligence startup, Sam's Club will add hundreds of new robotic floor cleaners to cover all 600 of its warehouse locations.

Robots could be used to support soldiers in combat - BBC News

Three companies have each been given £3m contracts to investigate the use of autonomous systems, including robots.

The Ministry Of Defence (MOD) procurement arm in Bristol said the plan would allow troops to use an "Amazon-style delivery service".

This first phase of the project will also explore the use of robotic dogs to support troops in dangerous and complex urban environments.
