Sending a probe to Uranus labeled as top priority by space science community - The Verge

The space science community thinks the time is ripe to study Uranus in depth — and they're being serious.

Specifically, scientists are calling on NASA to create the Uranus Orbiter and Probe, or UOP. The mission concept would send a spacecraft into orbit around Uranus, along with a probe that would plunge into the planet's atmosphere.

China launched 2 rockets back-to-back just ahead of astronauts' landing | Space

China launched two rockets from different spaceports in just six hours on Friday during a busy day that also included the successful landing of its longest astronaut mission yet.

Watch Russian cosmonauts spacewalk outside space station today | Space

Cosmonauts Oleg Artemyev and Denis Matveev, both of the Russian space agency Roscosmos , will spend seven hours working outside the International Space Station in their bulky Orlan spacesuits. The spacewalk is scheduled to begin at 10:25 a.m.

The spacewalk is the first of two excursions by the cosmonauts to activate systems on the station's recently arrived Russian-built Nauka science module.

Bad weather nixes Ax-1 mission's planned Tuesday departure from ISS | Space

The first-ever fully private crewed mission to the International Space Station will get to spend a bit of extra time aboard the orbiting lab.

The four astronauts of Ax-1 , a mission organized by Houston company Axiom Space, had been scheduled to depart the station in their SpaceX Dragon capsule at 10:35 a.m. EDT (1435 GMT) on Tuesday (April 19) and splash down off the coast of Florida early Wednesday morning (April 20).
