Four planets aligned over the Upper West Side on Friday — well, they aligned over the entire planet, but amateur astronomer Alexander Krivenyshev caught a shot of Jupiter, Venus, Mars, and Saturn over the neighborhood from New Jersey at 5:36 a.m., Space.com posted.

Crumbling planets might trigger repeating fast radio bursts | Science News
Fragmenting planets sweeping extremely close to their stars might be the cause of mysterious cosmic blasts of radio waves.
Milliseconds-long fast radio bursts, or FRBs, erupt from distant cosmic locales. Some of these bursts blast only once and others repeat.
FRBs are relative newcomers to astronomical research. Ever since the first was discovered in 2007, researchers have added hundreds to the tally.

Meteor shower, parade of planets beckon
April is providing a meteor shower this week. The Lyrids appear to spring from the constellation Lyra, the Lyre (harp) and the peak will be late evening on the 22nd. Lyra will emerge from the eastern horizon and be about 30 degrees above the southern horizon at midnight.
If the meteor shower fizzles, you are still giving yourself an opportunity to watch the parade of planets in the eastern sky with the moon in the constellation Sagittarius about 4 a.m. Saturn will be emerging, accompanied by Mars; they will be followed by Venus and finally Jupiter.
Astro Bob: Count 'em!
DULUTH — I tried to see the planets Sunday morning, April 17. The forecast looked perfect, but I awoke to clouds. You know the feeling. While I await the next clear morning, let me share the good news: Jupiter has returned!
Along with Venus, Mars and Saturn, we now have four planets lined up in a row 30° long across the southeastern sky at dawn. With the exception of Venus (an inner planet), each has popped out in succession at dawn over the past couple months. There's a reason for that — the sun has passed them ...
On The Stability Of Low-mass Planets With Supercritical Hydrospheres - Astrobiology
Computed planetary radii Rp at the transiting depth Ptr = 20mbar as a function of planetary mass Mp and irradiation temperature Tirr. Contours show lines of constant planetary radii (in units of Earth radius) to improve the readability of each panel.
Short-period and low-mass water-rich planets are subject to strong irradiation from their host star, resulting in hydrospheres in supercritical state. In this context, we explore the role of irradiation on small terrestrial planets that are moderately wet in the low-mass regime (0.2--1M⊕).
