Ten years ago on May 22, 2012, Elon Musk 's SpaceX made history. The company became the fourth entity, after the United States, Russia, and China, to launch a spacecraft into orbit and, on May 31 of that year, return it back to Earth.
That mission, the Dragon C2/3, was also the first commercial spacecraft to dock with another spacecraft in orbit — the International Space Station, in SpaceX's case , on May 24, 2012. It was also the first commercial spaceship to return cargo back to Earth.

The next SpaceX rocket launch will be a the company's Transporter 5 rideshare mission carrying a variety of small satellites for customers. That flight is scheduled for no earlier than May 25 from Space Launch Complex 40 at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station .

Fifteen young science enthusiasts from Alappuzha will attend a three-day space camp to be conducted in Thiruvananthapuram from May 23 to 25.
The camp, organised by the UL Space Club, a non-profit organisation under the Uralungal Labour Contract and Co-operative Society Ltd, will be held at Kerala Arts and Crafts Village, Kovalam, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) and the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST).

70-year-old astronomy photos may be clues to alien visitors — study
On a series of 70-year-old photographic plates containing images of the night sky, a few astronomers say they've found something weird: flashes of light that appear and then disappear, like ghosts.
"We found one image where nine stars were out there, and they vanished. And they are not there half an hour earlier, and they are not there six days later," says Beatriz Villarroel , a postdoctoral researcher at the Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics. "And you wonder, 'Is this real?'"
