The Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center is deeply embedded in the Reno community and coordinates various outreach efforts to foster interest in science.

The Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center has been a staple within the Reno community since its inception in 1963. It fosters interest in atmospheric and space science through various outreach efforts, including the annual Sci-On! Film Festival, the Star Walkers Space Club and beyond.

SpaceX launches 53 more Starlink satellites, lands rocket at sea again | Space

If all goes according to plan, the 53 satellites will deploy into low Earth orbit about an hour after launch.

Yesterday's launch and landing were the fifth for that particular Falcon 9 first stage. The rocket flying today was brand-new, with no previous space missions under its belt, SpaceX representatives said during a webcast of today's launch.

Commercial space vehicles could be landing in Huntsville | rocketcitynow.com

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Huntsville International Airport has been approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to allow commercial space vehicles to land in Huntsville . Huntsville International Airport, located in North Alabama, is the first commercial airport in the U.S.

The Initial license is only for the Dream Chaser Space Vehicle, but may be extended to others as well.

Lunar law: Canada can now prosecute crimes committed on the Moon

In anticipation of humanity's growing presence in space and all that it will entail, legal scholars and authorities worldwide are looking to extend Earth's laws into space. In a recent decision, the Canadian government introduced legislation extending Canada's criminal code to the Moon .

The Criminal Code of Canada already accounts for astronauts who may commit crimes during space flights to LEO and stays aboard the ISS. By law, any crime committed is considered to have been committed on Canadian soil.

Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan to Cooperate in Space Exploration - The Astana Times

NUR-SULTAN – The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved the intergovernmental decree between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on space exploration, reports the Uzbek Ministry of Justice.

The document was signed in December of 2021 in Nur-Sultan during Mirziyoyev's state visit to Kazakhstan. It is designed to boost cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.

David A. Roberts | Obituaries | johnsoncitypress.com

David was born November 3, 1946 in Bloomsburg, PA. He is the son and eldest child of the late Weldin and Ruth Roberts. Dave passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3rd, in his home in Johnson City, TN.

Dave was raised on the home farm where he initially developed his love of the outdoors and antique farm tractors. As well, he had a love of reading science fiction and of studying about the stars and planets and the universe.
