On May 12 scientists from the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) released an image of the black hole at the center of our galaxy, the Milky Way. The EHT is a worldwide network of radio telescopes that use radio waves instead of light to "see" the universe.
This black hole had been identified earlier by the motions of the stars and dust that surround it. The black hole, known as Sagittarius A* is estimated to be 4 million times more massive than the Sun. But don't worry because it is located about 30,000 light-years away.
