The Chinese Tianwen-1 orbiter has completed imaging the entire surface of Mars, the China National Space Administration (CNSA) announced this week .
During its time on the red planet, the Tianwen-1 orbiter made 1,344 passes around the planet and made observations with scientific instruments including cameras, magnetometers, spectrometers, and a radar instrument.
Ready for science: Another Webb Instrument tuned to find hiding planets
The James Webb Telescope is ready for the July 12th observation as engineers ready instruments on the multi-billion-dollar observatory one after another. The Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI) is now ready for science after completing post-launch preparation.
This is the second instrument after the Near-Infrared Imager and Slitless Spectrograph instrument (NIRISS) was tuned ahead of the first observations. Details with pictures from the first observations will be released on July 12 from 15,00,000 kilometers away from Earth.
