Are aliens coming to eat our horses? The science behind UFOs and 'Nope'

Nope largely leaves the realm of human monsters behind for something a little more alien — although even then Peele takes some creative liberties. His extraterrestrial creature isn't exactly little green men in flying saucers.

Despite what Ancient Aliens might have you believe, there's little if any evidence that aliens have visited our planet throughout history.

The ending of Nope showed the alien, nicknamed Jean Jacket, morph into a jellyfish-like creature after taking on the appearance of a classic UFO design for most of the film. The creature's physiology was unique and defied many people's expectations of what the antagonist might look like.

Award-winning author of UFO research to speak at Hillsdale Community Library

Hillsdale Community Library has once again shot for the stars with a new event. At noon Saturday, award-winning author of "Alien Shades of Greys," Raymond Szymanski, will present a talk on his latest book, "Swamp Gas My Ass."

Szymanski commented on his interest in aliens and what initially started his passion for revealing his research.
