Russian hackers behind SolarWinds breach continue to scour US and European organizations for ...

The Russian hackers behind a sweeping 2020 breach of US government networks have in recent months continued to hack US organizations to collect intelligence while also targeting an unnamed European government that is a NATO member, cybersecurity analysts tell CNN.

The hacking efforts come as Russia's invasion of Ukraine continues to fray US-Russia relations and drive intelligence collection efforts from both governments.

Belgium says Chinese hackers attacked its Ministry of Defense

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Belgium says multiple Chinese state-backed threat groups targeted the country's defense and interior ministries.

"Belgium exposes malicious cyber activities that significantly affected our sovereignty, democracy, security and society at large by targeting the FPS Interior and the Belgian Defence," the foreign minister said.

Some Honda key fobs vulnerable to hackers | What to know | 11alive.com

ATLANTA — The key fob to some of the country's most popular and affordable vehicles is prone to hackers. Reports have surfaced online saying many new Honda models can be unlocked and started without a key.

Online reports from security researchers said hackers can wirelessly steal command codes from key fobs, allowing them to unlock and start some Honda models. It's called the Rolling PWN attack .

Popular vehicle GPS tracker gives hackers admin privileges over SMS

Vulnerability researchers have found security issues in a GPS tracker that is advertised as being present in about 1.5 million vehicles in 169 countries.

A total of six vulnerabilities affect the MiCODUS MV720 device, which is present in vehicles used by several Fortune 50 firms, governments in Europe, states in the U.S., a military agency in South America, and a nuclear plant operator.

FBI warns hackers are using fake crypto apps to defraud investors – TechCrunch

The FBI has issued a public warning about fraudulent cryptocurrency investment apps after hackers posing as legitimate services stole tens of millions of dollars from U.S. investors.

In another case, observed between December 2021 and May 2022, unidentified hackers took some $3.7 million from 28 individuals over the course of six months by pretending to be representatives from a legitimate, unnamed financial entity.
