Yango's autonomous delivery robots will not be returning to the sidewalks of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, municipal officials decided on Sunday.

While there is a view among some fast food commentators that robots in kitchens are the future, the boss of the world's largest QSR chain is not convinced.

Chris Kempczinski, president and CEO of McDonald's, said that while the business is focused on what it can do from an automation standpoint, the reality is that "there is not going to be a silver bullet that goes and addresses this for the industry".
