On June 9, with only a few hours’ notice, NASA held a press conference to announce a study it was commissioning on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs).
Yet the pronouncement also fit in with the suddenly more open-minded zeitgeist regarding UAPs. Last year saw the publication of a much-anticipated report on the Department of Defense’s own investigations into the subject, following the release of first-person accounts and video from U.S.
What the military might know about all those UFO sightings
Are we alone in the universe? That is a question human beings have been asking for longer than recorded history itself.
Are aliens the cause for strange occurrences in the skies around our nation? Possibly. But I have another suggestion — one that many will find to be more grounded in reality. Remember that flood of UFO sightings from the late 1940s and early 1950s I mentioned? That's our starting point.
