NASA Continues Psyche Asteroid Mission

The mission team continues to complete testing of the spacecraft's flight software in preparation for the 2023 launch date.

NASA announced Friday the agency decided its Psyche mission will go forward, targeting a launch period opening on Oct. 10, 2023.

Scary 328-foot asteroid speeding towards Earth, NASA avers

Asteroids come in all shapes and sizes, with the largest being nearly 530 kilometers in diameter called Vesta. Others are smaller at around 100 feet and even less.

NASA has warned that Asteroid 2022 UA10 is on its way towards Earth travelling at a staggering speed of 29124 kilometers per hour. It will make its closest approach to the planet today, October 27, at a distance of 4.5 million kilometers.
