Bryan Cranston Talks Wes Anderson's New Movie Asteroid City

With Bryan Cranston recently returning to the feature format with Jerry & Marge Go Large at Paramount+, Collider's own Steve Weintraub got the chance to sit down with the star to discuss his warm, fuzzy new comedy with Annette Bening .

Cranston has worked with the legendary director on two occasions. His first, however, didn't give him the full Anderson experience as he was merely lending his voice to the director's unique 2018 animated feature Isle of Dogs .

On Oct. 31, 2015, an asteroid shaped like a human skull flew by Earth . It arrived with excellent timing on Halloween, which made the already-creepy asteroid even creepier.

During its closest approach, it was about 300,000 miles from Earth, or 1.3 times the average distance between Earth and the moon. So, it didn't pose a threat to our planet.

DART, NASA's Double Asteroid Redirection Test, has been in the news most recently and has been described, "a smashing success." NASA expected the orbital period of the moonlet, Dimorphos, in orbit around the asteroid Didymos, to change by a few minutes, but it actually sped up by 32 minutes.

Asteroids threatening Earth could be spotted by spacecraft network | Space

Researchers have proposed a novel system of six surveyor spacecraft deployed in Venus -like orbits to serve as an early warning system for space rocks that threaten Earth .

There are more than 2,000 potentially hazardous near-Earth asteroids in the Minor Planet Center database.
