The same tools that healthcare providers use to operate and maintain secure IT systems can also be weaponized by hackers. In fact, that happens fairly often, according to a cybersecurity report recently released by the Department of Health and Human Services.
The report flagged legitimate security tools that are commonly used by providers, including Cobalt Strike and PowerShell.

Scammers have reportedly sent consumers a new Solana Phantom security update assuring it will grant additional protection.
“Phantom requires all users to update their wallets. This must be done as soon as possible. Failing to do so may result in loss of funds due to hackers exploiting the Solana network. Visit www.updatePhantom.com to get the latest security update,” the message stated.
DPRK hackers sneak US$52 mln in crypto into S.Korean exchanges: Chainalysis
Hackers from North Korea have sent around US$52.46 million worth of cryptocurrencies to digital asset exchanges in South Korea since 2019 in an effort to evade sanctions or to launder the money, said Yoon Han-hong, a South Korean lawmaker, on Wednesday.
Yoon, a member of the ruling People Power Party, cited an investigation by New York-based blockchain data firm Chainalysis and had requested this report.
