Texas company IBM to develop new platform for space travel

AUSTIN (KXAN) — IBM Space, a team at tech giant IBM, unveiled plans to develop a new computer platform that will be used on several upcoming space stations and starships.

Sierra Space is developing a slew of spacecraft. These include Dream Catcher, a space plane designed for easier reentry to the Earth’s atmosphere and an inflatable habitat that can be attached to a space station.

African Countries Uganda and Zimbabwe Launch First Satellites

Ibadan, 11 November 2022. – Uganda and Zimbabwe have launched their respective first satellites, on November 7 2022, onto the International Space Station for subsequent deployment into orbit at a later date.

The satellite launch results from the countries being beneficiaries of the Joint Global Multi-Nations Birds Satellite project, an initiative of the Japanese Space Agency (JAXA) and the Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech).

JPSS-2 deploys solar array after delay - SpaceNews

NASA launched the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) 2 spacecraft on a United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 rocket early Nov. 10 from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, deploying the satellite into its planned polar orbit.

In two subsequent updates later in the day, NASA said that controllers were still working to deploy the array, but provided few details on the specific problem.
