SpaceX rocket launches 2 telecom satellites on record-tying 14th mission | Space

SpaceX launched two telecom satellites on Saturday (Nov. 12), tying its own rocket reuse record in the process.

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Florida's Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 11:06 a.m. EST (1606 GMT) on Saturday, carrying Intelsat's Galaxy 31 and Galaxy 32 satellites aloft.

NASA Capstone Cubesat Arrives at Moon Sunday, Clearing Way for Artemis - CNET

Capstone is checking out the route in advance of NASA's plans to build a space station dubbed Gateway to ply the same orbit. The Gateway will be a waypoint for Artemis astronauts, equipment and supplies on their way to the lunar surface.

The small satellite is expected to perform its initial orbit insertion maneuver at 4:18 p.m. PT on Sunday.

NASA decides to proceed with Artemis Moon launch after hurricane

NASA is still assessing potential damage to its Artemis I rocket from Hurricane Nicole, but there's nothing that prevents a launch to the Moon on Wednesday, November 16, says one space agency official.

Artemis I rode through the storm, and now NASA is looking at issues on the back side. The human-grade spacecraft will not carry humans onboard — instead carrying one NASA mannequin and two European Space Agency mannequin torsos, which will measure the effects of the trip on future astronauts.
