A star's light can often stoke chemical reactions on a planet, a process dubbed "photochemistry." This is what's happening on WASP-39 b.
So if that color doesn't show up in the spectrum of colors observed by a Webb spectrograph, that means it got absorbed by (or "consumed" by) the exoplanet's atmosphere. In other words, that element is present in that planet's skies.

On Monday, Orion marked nearly 270,000 miles away from Earth, the furthest a human-rated spacecraft has traveled from our home planet.
According to NASA, at its farthest from home, Orion traveled 268,553 miles from Earth, more than 43,000 miles from the moon. The milestone happened 12 days and 14 hours into the Artemis 1 mission.
