The Shenzhou-14 crew entered the Tianzhou-5 cargo craft on Sunday, according to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA), which also said China will launch the Tianzhou series every six months in the future.
The crew opened the hatch door of Tianzhou-5 at 2:18 p.m. (Beijing Time) and entered the cargo spaceship at 3:03 p.m. following preparation work, the CMSA said.
Woohoo! JWST's Mid-Infrared Instrument is Fully Operational Again - Universe Today
Engineers with the James Webb Space Telescope have figured out a way to work around a friction issue that arose with the telescopes' Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI).
On August 24, while preparing for observations with MIRI's MRS mode, the team detected increased friction with one of the wheels, describing the friction as ‘grating’ or ‘sticky.’ The function of the wheel is to select between short, medium and longer wavelengths.
JAXA's Omotenashi: World's Smallest Space Probe | JAPAN Forward
This is part of NASA's Artemis Project, an international lunar exploration project. If successful, Japan will be the fourth country to reach the moon , following the former Soviet Union, the United States, and China.
Omotenashi has a length of 24 centimeters, width of 37 centimeters, and height of 12 centimeters. It's about the size of a small postal package, with a weight of 12.6 kilograms.
The Kármán Line: Where does space begin? | Space
The Kármán line is a boundary 62 miles (100 kilometers) above mean sea level that borders Earth's atmosphere and the beginning of space. However, defining exactly where space begins can be rather tricky and depends on who you ask.
International law states that "outer space shall be free for exploration and use by all" according to NOAA (opens in new tab) . But due to a variety of definitions of where space actually begins and no definitive law that confirms the true boundary.

Let the North Star be your guide
Joseph Borg writes about how his passion and work on blood research led him to explore how he could access space for his own research. Project Maleth, Malta’s first space bioscience programme was born in late 2020.
After reading for my undergraduate degree in Applied Biomedical Science, I followed a natural route leading me to read both for an MSc degree and a doctoral degree, both at the University of Malta.
Surviving the lunar night can be a challenge for astronauts | Space
As multiple nations plot out their moon exploration strategies, how best to survive the lunar night gives space engineers the cold sweats.
The moon's lunar day/night cycle at most locations on the surface includes fourteen Earth days of continuous sunlight followed by fourteen days of constant darkness and intense cold.
