China’s ‘heavenly palace’ space station releases small satellite into orbit | Technology News,The ...

China deployed a mini satellite into low-earth orbit from its Tiangong ("Heavenly Palace") space station, which was completed in October this year.

The Chinese Communist Party-run publication says the satellite is designed to help students in Macao learn about Erth imaging, radio communication and other spaceflight activities, quoting the China Manned Space Agency.

Congress adds $1.7 billion for U.S. Space Force in 2023 spending bill - SpaceNews

WASHINGTON — Congress in a massive $1.7 trillion government funding bill on Dec. 23 approved $797.7 billion for the Defense Department, or $69.3 billion more than DoD got in 2022.

The consolidated funding bill funds the U.S. government for the remainder of the fiscal year that ends Sept. 30.

Reflecting On The X-37B's Latest Record-Breaking Mission - The Aviationist

The X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle successfully deorbited and landed at NASA's Kennedy Space Center Shuttle Landing Facility on Nov. 12, 2022, at 05:22 AM LT.

The mission, called OTV-6, is the sixth mission overall for the unmanned, reusable spaceplane and the third for the first X-37B.

The reusable spaceplane has now flown over 1.3 billion miles and spent a total of 3,774 days in space, conducting experiments for government and industry partners with the ability to return them to Earth for evaluation.

UNOOSA and UK Strengthen Cooperation on Space Sustainability

Ibadan, 23 December 2022. – The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and the Government of the United Kingdom are strengthening their partnership with a new project to bolster space sustainability.

The project, which started in 2021, is now in its third phase. As a result, UNOOSA will create an open-access e-learning tool to help facilitate and improve understanding of the Guidelines and their implementation, with funding from the United Kingdom.
