How To Organize Your Week According To The Planets

Of course, while it's fun to see who you might end up with according to your sign, there's an even simpler way to use the cosmos to your advantage. As astrologer Jennifer Freed, Ph.D.

Friday is ruled by Venus, the planet of romance, so schedule your girls' night out or even a romantic dinner date for this night. Next, Saturday is governed by Saturn, the planet of responsibility, which makes this a good day for cleaning up around the house and planning for the week ahead.

Our Search for Habitable Planets Just Got a Lot Narrower, Study Suggests - ExtremeTech

In the past few decades, astronomy has gone from speculating about the existence of planets outside our solar system to identifying more than 5,000 of them.

The study focused on an exoplanet called GJ 1252b, which orbits an m-dwarf star (sometimes called a red dwarf) just 66 light years away. That’s right next door in astronomical terms.

'Potentially Hazardous' Monster Asteroid Is The Largest Seen in Years : ScienceAlert

It measures roughly 1.5 kilometers (nearly 1 mile) across, and is on an orbit that may, in the future, bring it close enough to Earth to pose a problem.

The other two asteroids have paths that are entirely, and safely, closer to the Sun than Earth's orbit. That doesn't make their discovery any less exciting, adding to a census of hard-to-find objects that will allow us to better characterize the population of near-Earth objects.

There could be as many as 4 quintillion alien spacecraft flying near Earth

Harvard professor Avi Loeb is well known for having claimed the first interstellar space rock observed in our solar system was, in fact, an alien spacecraft — or the remnants of one, at least.

Now, in a new study that has yet to be peer-reviewed, Loeb and co-author Carson Ezell, also a Harvard astronomer, set out to predict how many other similar objects to 'Oumuamua might be out there.

During its closest approach, it was about 300,000 miles from Earth, or 1.3 times the average distance between Earth and the moon. So, it didn't pose a threat to our planet.
