Study Finds Workplace Robots Could Cause Job Insecurity - Unite.AI

A new study carried out by the American Psychological Association has found that working alongside robots could contribute to job burnout and insecurity, as well as workplace incivility.

"Some economists theorized that robots are more likely to take over blue-collar jobs faster than white-collar jobs," Yam said. "However, it doesn't look like robots are taking over that many jobs yet, at least not in the United States, so a lot of these fears are rather subjective."

Three underwater robots monitor Nord Stream's environmental impact

Between 56,000 and 155,000 tonnes of methane were released into the atmosphere as a result of the Nord Stream break, making it one of the highest methane emissions ever measured from a single site, reported NewScientist.

The robots are being monitored through research vessel Skagerak and are created with the help of the Voice of the Ocean foundation (VOTO). The devices are remote-controlled and are set to move around the sea and record water data continuously for the next 15 weeks.

Human Garbage Will Pose a Huge Issue for Future Space Colonization of the Solar System

The next time you see a shooting star, there's a small chance it's complete garbage. That's not a knock on any meteors or comets out there. It's the truth.

It's not the most eco-friendly system for taking the space trash out, and it raises questions about what kind of impact we're creating by adding waste and gasses into an already strained atmosphere on Earth. But it's the only one we have right now.

Data suggests there are rippled structures at the boundary of the solar system

By analyzing data from all three sources, the researchers noted a sudden change in pressure exerted by the solar wind in 2014, and used the relatively short time scale of the event to study the shape of the heliopause and termination shock.

Since some of the atoms managed to escape into interstellar space and others were bounced back into the solar system, the researchers were able to use the data as a form of cosmic echolocation. When modeled, the researchers found that huge ripples were formed in the boundary areas.

Spooky NASA Webb Telescope Image Captures 'Fingerprint' of Rare Star System - CNET

What's especially fascinating about these stellar memories is they allow us to calculate the passage of time.
