JWST Heralds a New Dawn for Exoplanet Science - Scientific American

Any future historian of 21st-century space science may well divide the subject into two eras: before the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) and after.

Such results remain a far cry from the astrobiological holy grail of finding and studying potentially Earth-like worlds but are enormously exciting nonetheless, given that JWST and its core science goals were conceived before exoplanets were even known to exist.

China to send 60 missions outside Earth in 2023, launch over 200 spacecraft - India Today

Bluedot festival: Cultural icon Grace Jones to headline - BBC News

The singer, actress and model, who curated London's Meltdown in 2022, will play under the gaze of the Lovell Telescope at Cheshire's Jodrell Bank Observatory in July.

Scientists find 17-pound meteorite in icy Antarctica | Space

Chinese astronauts send Spring Festival greetings from space station-Xinhua

This video snapshot shows the Shenzhou-15 astronauts Fei Junlong, Deng Qingming and Zhang Lu sending their Spring Festival greetings from China's Tiangong space station in a video released by the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) on New Year's Eve. (Xinhua)

The trio, dressed in blue jumpsuits with dark red patterns, each held a sticker showing their own calligraphy. Two of the stickers were written with the Chinese character "fu", meaning good luck, and the other sending good luck wishes from Tiangong.

India ready to help Oman in space research programme: ISRO

Bengaluru – The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), which has the world's largest constellation of remote-sensing satellites and has sent two missions to the Moon and one to the Mars, is ready to help Oman in its space research programme.

A memorandum of understanding between Oman and India in 2018 on cooperation in the peaceful use of outer space, which the Indian Cabinet later approved, opened the doors for Oman to take help of ISRO.

Astronomers capture radio signal from ancient galaxy at record-breaking distance | Space

The signal was detected at a special and significant wavelength known as the "21-centimeter line" or the "hydrogen line," which is emitted by neutral hydrogen atoms.

The signal from the star-forming galaxy SDSSJ0826+5630 was emitted when our 13.8 billion-year-old galaxy was just 4.9 billion years old. The signal allowed the astronomers to measure the galaxy's gas content and find that its mass is double that of the early galaxy's visible stars.
