NASA Funding Experimental Space Technology Studies – MeriTalk

The NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts (NIAC) program has announced its latest round of awards to fund early-stage studies to evaluate technologies that could support future missions.

The latest round of awards will provide $175,000 grants to 14 studies from nine states – ten of which are first-time NIAC recipients.

U.S., Japan Strengthen Military and Civil Space Ties – SpacePolicyOnline.com

The United States and Japan are strengthening their ties in both the military and civilian space arenas this week while Japanese Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio and top officials visit Washington. The two countries agreed that Article V of the Japan-U.S.

Kishida met with Vice President Kamala Harris at her Naval Observatory residence this morning and with President Joe Biden immediately thereafter at the White House. This is Kishida’s first visit to Washington since taking office in October 2021.

China launches new commercial communications satellite | Space

China carried out its third space mission of 2023 on Thursday (Jan. 12) with the launch of a commercial telecommunications satellite.

A Long March 2C rocket lifted off from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center Thursday at 11:10 a.m. EST (1810 GMT; 2:10 a.m. on Jan. 13 Beijing time).

Lunar Flashlight's Trajectory Correction Maneuver (Illustration)
