New Pentagon UFO report: a flight safety hazard but no evidence of alien pilots

First off, let's specify that the acronym for unidentified flying objects has been retired by government officials who now prefer the more comfortably ambiguous UAP for unidentified aerial phenomena.

Pentagon told to scrutinize eight decades of UFO documents

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence reviewed 366 newly identified military sightings of “unidentified aerial phenomena” – Pentagon jargon for UFOs.

The ODNI will further investigate the 171 “unremarkable” reports that “demonstrated unusual flight characteristics or performance capabilities,” most of which were recorded by Navy and Air Force pilots.

UFO reports rise to 510, not aliens but still a threat to US

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. has now collected 510 reports of unidentified flying objects, many of which are flying in sensitive military airspace. While there's no evidence of extraterrestrials, they still pose a threat, the government said in a declassified report summary released Thursday.
