The next full moon will be Tuesday morning, March 7, 2023, appearing opposite the Sun in Earth-based longitude at 7:40 AM EST. This will be on Wednesday morning from Kamchatka and Fiji Time eastward to the International Date Line.

A satellite launched in 2020 to take observations and study the solar system’s 4.6-billion-year-old sun had a front-row seat as the planet Mercury moved around the giant star, and the entire episode was captured on imagery.
